Smaller businesses targeted by cyber criminals

Symantec’s latest ‘Internet Security Threat Report’ is out, and it’s an interesting read for businesses of all sizes.

The report reveals an 81% increase in malicious attacks, with the public sector and government no longer the main target attacks for attacks. Smaller businesses (with less than 250 employees) are now also in the firing line. The report suggests this could be because they aren't as well protected as larger organisations.

No matter what the size of your online business, SSL security is vital. It’s what will keep your (and your customers’) date secured. A lot of SSL certificates now come with fantastic security features as standard like daily malware scanning – free extras which could keep your business out of the hands of cyber criminals.
